topo construct + digital translation
The initial portion of this project involved the articulation of a word/adjective into a graphical representation on a sheet of paper. The result was to then be transmitted into 3D form on MDF. Through the use of a grinder, chisels, dremel, and sandpaper, the final form was then refined and prepared for primer + paint. The paint part was a bit of a deviation, as we were only asked to primer and fine sand the models. I wasn't satisfied with the result knowing what a good base color (white) and clear-coat could do for it. Extra time had allowed for experimentation with other materials - colored dye and Siltec were used for alternative inquisition.

Imagery taken of the completed MDF models were to then be manipulated along with sample "pattern" imagery. Parent images of the model and patterns combine to create a "child" hybrid.
